Countdown Calendar Available For Sale Launches New Website
CHAPEL HILL, N.C., October 6, 2014 – Creative Countdown, LLC, the Chapel
Hill-based company offering the only fully customizable countdown calendar
available for sale online, has announced that their new website is set to
launch on October 6. The site, www.CreativeCountdown.com allows users to create
fully personalized daily or weekly countdowns perfect for gift giving.
This unique product allows customers to count down to a specific date with a
daily message personalized on each ‘day left’. Users can choose from a
multitude of designs to match their style or theme.
Since launching the original website in November 2012, Creative
Countdown immediately experienced tremendous success among customers seeking a
unique way to Savor The Suspense® of any upcoming event, such as a
wedding, birth of a child, retirement, vacation or graduation. From the start,
the countdowns were a hit, reaching customers in 45 states and more than a
dozen countries. The company also has created a line of standard,
non-personalized, countdown products available for sale online and at
select retail locations. So far, the most popular countdowns are for weddings
and retirements.
The new website will better cater to customers’ needs by
providing a simplified process for building personalized countdowns, better
pricing options, a tool to import contact lists for email countdowns, and the
ability for companies and organizations to include their logo or a customized
design. In addition, customers will now be able to create countdowns spanning
300 days or more.
Though customers are encouraged to fully customize and author
their own entries, quick-fill suggested entries are available for a multitude
of event types, such as wedding, birth of a child and graduation. Countdowns
can be ordered on a flip-stand or a tear-off pad for gift giving, or as an
email to be sent to a larger group. The company will continue to expand
the list of suggested entries to make calendar building easy, but urge
customers to modify and create their own to make their countdown more unique
and special.
The idea for Creative Countdown was inspired when Joanie Hickey
wanted to give her friend, Amy Gamber, a unique gift while awaiting the birth
of her child. When she could not find a customizable countdown anywhere online,
she decided to make one herself. By utilizing her graphic design experience,
Joanie was able to create a unique gift that Amy loved. Family, friends and
coworkers were excited about the countdown and wanted Joanie’s help creating
their own countdown, and these two Chapel Hill moms then decided to start their
new business together. Gamber serves as marketing director and partner, while
Hickey is creative director and partner.
